Alexandra & George // Old Palace, Chester

A City Wedding in the heart of Chester… an element of quintessential British with elegance & poise throughout. Old Palace Chester was the reception location however the day encompassed various parts of the City Centre on the river banks. Alexandra’s family still live locally in Chester but both Alexandra & George met in different surroundings in London at the the well known Twickenham 7’s! A light hearted story told so well by George during his speech. Alexandra explained to me prior to the Wedding the idea was always to head home to Chester to marry and on the day we even managed a visit to the family home to pick up dad prior to the journey across to the Church. George & the groomsmen stayed locally at the Chester Grosvenor and took the walk through the town across the river to the incredibly beautiful St Marys Church. I was fortunate enough to attend their pre wedding rehearsal the day prior and got to meet the vicar who was wonderful to deal with. We even managed to gain access to the tower and get a unique view of Alexandra walking down the aisle on the day.

Alexandra and the girls were based at the Palace & it was so wonderful to document the details of the morning which were just lovely! The guests many travelling from London and further afield filled the church. Once Alexandra arrived at the church the rain has slowly started but was more of a drizzle but the feel of the day was just amazing! I always say sometimes my Films and the look and feel I go for look amazing during winter light.

The Ceremony was conducted beautifully and included a couple great readings. t was great to see after the Ceremony everybody walking back through the town across the river to the Palace. The reception had no doubt an intimate feel to it and the Christmas sing along orchestrated by the Compare was just a stand out for me.

Alexandra & George were living together in Mayfair, London and had done a house renovation together, bought a dog and are now building their lives even more together in London as a married couple. However, their Wedding Day will be one I will remember with great fondness and I know from speaking with them sometimes those moments being relived can bring such memorable feelings flooding back to the surface.

Enjoy watching their Film.
