Gemma & Liam, Stone Barn Cotswolds Wedding

I could not leave the Wedding without a drink first (literally Gemma & Liam refused until I had one). Nestled in the Cotswolds sits the wonderful barn wedding venue Stone Barn a splendid blend of contemporary mixed with elegance. The barn has a rustic theme however everything you need is there for a Wedding designed to your taste. A Wedding can be designed however you wish at Stone Barn Cotswolds Wedding Venue.

Gemma & Liam had to rearrange their date by a year due to the C word which we don’t talk about anymore (its in the past move on). I was super excited after a couple zoom calls with them planning the date. Like most couples who book me freedom to create is so important and they were so welcoming from the outset. Gemma & her bridal party got ready in a local cottage which kept to the theme of their Wedding day. Just think quintessential Cotswolds and I feel this highlights their Wedding day from start to finish.

Stone Barn Wedding Venue is part of the Cripps & Co brand of 8 beautiful Wedding venues in England and represent a Wedding that couples desire when thinking about their celebrations. The ceremony was in the Barn with a warm open fire heating the room nicely for Gemma’s entrance. The old barn doors swung open and Gemma and her bridal party made their way through. What a wonderfully told reading by Gemma’s flower girl I thought was a real highlight. Standing up in front of a 100 or so guests can never be easy but she was poised and read beautifully.

The reception was to match, everything is cooked with the open kitchen and wood burner ovens with the reception in the modern looking extension with soft natural light flooding in. I love creating depth to my shots so all the reflections and windows were perfect for me (slightly off topic that). They carved their own meats and the personal touches these create bring a very much homely feel to proceedings. Short speeches which were perfectly spoken were followed by a party in the barn which brought to my attention a human chicken for good measure (who was in the fancy dress and why? I will let you guess).

If the day couldn’t get much better Gemma & Liam took in a beautiful sunset adjacent to the barn to end what was a splendid occasion at the gorgeous Stone Barn Wedding Venue
